Hye Camp Week 4-Monday Hye Life Blog

Bright and early this morning, enthusiastic campers headed down to the Cheesh Pond for some catch-and-release fishin’.

Later in the day, campers went to their scheduled classes, including a nature walk with a local Forest Ranger, as well as fun and educational classes taught by clergy and staff!

In the afternoon, campers had tons of fun participating in a variety of arts & crafts and sports including basketball, volleyball, soccer, and archery, as well as swimming and paddling the canoes & paddleboats at the Cheesh Pond!

At the end of the night, campers gathered at the campfire for another night full of songs and hilarious skits performed by cabins and staff!

Hye Camp Week 4-Sunday Hye Life Blog

Campers arrived to Hye Camp excited to meet up with old friends and find out the cabin assignments on Sunday afternoon! Our lovely staff helped check them in so they could meet their counselors and discover the “blast to the past” cabin themes.

After settling in to their cabins, campers gathered at the arbor for a fun and informative orientation on safety regulations as well as an overview of the exciting activities awaiting them this week.

Following orientation, Father Ash and Deacon Narek led chapel before the campers headed up to the mess hall for a delicious dinner prepared by our kitchen and hospitality staff.

ICE CREAM SOCIAL!

An awesome time was had by all at campfire, which included songs, brown bag skits and the classic Boghos act performed by our talented campers and program staff!

Hye Camp Week 3- Thursday Hye Life Blog

Our 5th day of Hye Camp was a lot of fun for the campers! Instead of chapel, our counselors took the campers down in different locations and gave a morning devotional.

The classes today included Armenian dance, Our Armenian Church, and Bible Study

We then had our evening activites but since the temperature was starting to rise we had our campers play board games and ping pong instead of basketball down at the logde in the nice cool shade!

We had our evening chapel in which Der Yeghia made a new friend... everyone meet Der Archoog!
We had our talent show in which our campers showed off their amazing talents including singing, dancing, trumpet playing, and even magic!

Even our female staff members got in on the fun!
Then, we had our always fun and exciting campfire to end the day!!
